Life’s emotional. We get it.

Emotional dressing was born from the many conversations between us (Margaux and Zelda) about life, love, family, clothes, shows, culture, humor, food, and everything in between. We soon realized that other women would benefit from these conversations as well, and that what we liked and were interested in was not represented in society or the internet. Where were our people?

People love to describe women as emotional. We agree with that. We own that shit. We are all emotional human beings. This is a space run by women and for women. It’s a place to connect with other women who are doing the daily, harrowing work of being alive. And maybe have some laughs and find some cool shit along the way. If you love honesty, humor, and heartbreaking truths mixed in with clothes, books, and cocktails, this blog is for you. Our goal is that after visiting our site you feel better dressed to face the world — inside and out.

We bring different perspectives to the table. Margaux, a constantly evolving chameleon of a woman (they say a cat has 9 lives….) is a single mom raising a teen. Zelda is a single, almost 40 year-old, still navigating the dating waters that appear ever so shallow. Our paths crossed when we met through work and quickly realized that we are overqualified and underpaid, way underappreciated, and too over-stressed. Unsustainable. We are two very creative people who are slowly having the life sucked out of us on a daily basis. 

This blog became our happy place. We hope it becomes yours, too.
